Manchester United get’s the boost they needed as wonderkid excited about ‘dream’ move to old trafford.

Manchester United handed major Mohammed Kudus transfer boost by Ajax star’s agent

Jennifer Mendelewitsch, the agent of Manchester United target Mohammed Kudus, says her client is available for a transfer.

The Ajax attacker – who has 18 goals and six assists this season – is of interest to Erik ten Hag. The 22-year-old joins a list of options containing Napoli star Victor Osimhen and Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos behind primary target Harry Kane.

Kudus is an attacking midfielder by trade, who can also play on the right wing, but has been used as a central striker 16 times this season. He’s scored nine goals while operating in the role.

The Ghana international played all three group stage games at the World Cup, bagging a brace against South Korea. Mendelewitsch says the interest in Kudus post-finals rocketed and she is eager for him to make a move this summer after rejecting a contract renewal.

“I think it is best for both Ajax and Mohammed that he makes a transfer now. Now is the right time,” she told De Telegraaf.

“He has ignored a proposal to extend his contract until the summer of 2026. What I can say is that after the World Cup and this season there is a lot of interest in Kudus.”

Mendelewitsch refused to comment on whether Kudus, who still has two years left on his current Ajax deal, has a price tag of €45m (£39m). The youngster arrived at Ajax from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland for £7.8m in 2020.

Ten Hag handed former club Ajax an initial £132m in exchange for Lisandro Martinez and deadline day signing Antony last summer. The United boss admitted that he is in the dark over what budget he will be given this summer amid the uncertain outcome of the takeover process.

The Reds are set to allow more players to leave than arrive this off-season in order to stay within Financial Fair Play Rules after forking out £225m last year. Club captain Harry Maguire could exit while the club are open to selling Anthony Martial too.

There are also no plans to make Wout Weghorst’s loan permanent. As well as a striker, Ten Hag is eager to bring in a young midfielder and has left the door open for ambitious moves for Jude Bellingham and Frenkie de Jong.
