Ian Wright has identified a Manchester United star as a significant challenge for opponents across the board.

 

In a thrilling FA Cup quarter-final clash against Liverpool last Sunday, Manchester United emerged victorious, with substitute Amad Diallo delivering a dramatic late winner in extra time.

 

Erik ten Hag’s team secured a 4-3 victory, putting an end to Liverpool’s aspirations of achieving a historic quadruple in Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge. This marked the second time in the last four seasons that United has knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup, setting up a semi-final showdown against Championship side Coventry at Wembley.

 

Key performances from Scott McTominay and Kobbie Mainoo contributed to Ten Hag’s side’s success. Antony’s equalizer, leveling the score at 2-2 and pushing the game into extra time, was pivotal. Additionally, Bruno Fernandes, despite not delivering his best performance, played a crucial role, even filling in at center-back due to injury, and his long balls forward ignited several attacking moves.

Notably, Alejandro Garnacho’s stellar display posed continuous challenges for Liverpool and spearheaded the counterattack that led to Diallo’s decisive goal.
