“They are the only players we are going to sign this season. They are going to cost us a lot of money but they are worth it. Erik ten Hag want’s to use them to dominate the Premeir League”-Utd draw up four-man transfer shortlist for summer which includes Premier League star wanted by Tottenham

Manchester United have reportedly compiled a shortlist of four players ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite their significant investment in players like Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund during the summer of 2023, United’s performances have fallen short of expectations, leaving them currently in sixth place in the Premier League, trailing fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur by six points.

As they plan for the future, United, under the ownership of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team, are eyeing reinforcements in central defense, with Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite among their targets. However, competition for Branthwaite’s signature is fierce, with Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Real Madrid also interested. In addition to Branthwaite, United are monitoring Benfica’s Antonio Silva, Nice’s Jean Clair Todibo, and Lille’s Leny Yoro.

Yoro has reportedly attracted the attention of Real Madrid as well.According to reports from Football Insider, Everton may be willing to part ways with Branthwaite for a substantial fee in the upcoming transfer window. Everton is seeking to raise funds amid financial difficulties, with both Branthwaite and Amadou Onana identified as potential departures.

The club’s financial challenges include a pending takeover by 777 Partners, a 10-point deduction for breaching Profit and Sustainability rules, and the ongoing battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
