Roy Keane has criticised Marcus Rashford’s goal celebration during Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur.On Sunday afternoon, the Red Devils welcomed Spurs to Old Trafford in the Premier League.The two teams produced an entertaining encounter as Spurs came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw.Rasmus Hojlund gave United an early lead before Richarlison equalised.
In the 40th minute, Rashford finished off a fine move to make it 2-1 before Rodrigo Bentancur made it 2-2 one minute into the second half.
Keane said: “We need to see more, he’s showed it before, he’s got the quality. Why does he seem to be upset with everybody, he’s got to go and enjoy it he’s playing for Man United.”Redknapp added: “He’s got no right to be upset, he’s not done the business.”When told that was Rashford’s first goal at Old Trafford since May, Redknapp added: “That’s not good enough. It’s not good enough, with his talent and what he can do to people, he can twist them up, that’s what he should be doing so don’t complain.”
Keane then said: “There’s something different, he’s obviously been told by the manager and the coaching staff recently.“When we are in position, there is space, you’ve got to run in this game. We see it yesterday in the Newcastle game, we see the Man City players, you’ve got to stretch teams.“And when Marcus(Rashford) is doing that, he’s very hard to stop.”
On the back of the draw, United moved up to seventh place in the table above Chelsea and Brighton. The Red Devils are now eight points off the top four and 13 points off Premier League leaders Liverpool.
