Jadon Sancho has finally secured his move away from Old Trafford by signing for Borussia Dortmund on loan, and has broken his silence with a sly did at his parent club.Sancho’s future at Old Trafford always looked in doubt, since the winger had a major bust-up with manager Erik ten Hag after being dropped for United’s match against Arsenal.The 23-year-old signed from Dortmund in 2021 for £73m after a significant transfer saga.Sancho played 58 times for United in the Premier League, scoring nine goals and getting six assists.
Erik ten Hag’s decision to publicly slam Sancho came as a surprise to many, as the Englishmen had enjoyed a productive pre-season and was tipped to make real strides this season.
Upon arrival at Dortmund Sancho has released a statement on the official club website which appears to take aim at United, as his feud with Ten Hag continues.The statement read: “When I came into dressing room today, felt like ‘coming home’. I know club inside + out, always been very close with fans here, and never lost contact with those in charge. Can’t, wait to see teammates again + play football with a smile on my face.”

Sancho’s statement appears to highlight the difficulties he faced in England and the lack of enjoyment of his first spell in Germany.The winger earned his big money move to the Premier League with some outstanding performances for Dortmund, getting 89 goal involvements in just 104 Bundesliga appearances (38 goals, 51 assists).Sancho will hope return to Dortmund will act as a catalyst for a return to his best form, with Euro 2024 just around the corner a late push to be in Gareth Southgate’s squad might not be out of the question.
