This summer, Lukaku has reportedly been told that he is no longer a part of Chelsea’s plans moving forward and has been advised to find a new club.Former United striker Dwight Yorke has told his former club to sign Lukaku again.He said to OLBG: “Romelu Lukaku is absolutely still good enough to play for a top-six club.“I think Man United or Tottenham should take Lukaku on a short-term loan deal and agree to pay a certain amount of his wages. As much as people say about Lukaku, he has a very impressive goalscoring record and he doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves.”
Romelu Lukaku, a former striker, should be re-signed, according to advice given to Manchester United.Following Lukaku’s successful time at Everton, United acquired the Belgian in a transfer costing a reputed £75 million at the beginning of 2017.Lukaku was eventually traded to Italian Serie A team Inter Milan in 2019 after failing to recover his greatest form of play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who replaced Jose Mourinho.
Yorke continued: “If you have a fired-up Lukaku who wants to play for you, he’s a match-winner and a handful for any opponent in the world.
“Man United have invested heavily in Rasmus Hojlund, but if you want to compete with the best then Lukaku is that player who can score 15 to 20 goals in a season, which is priceless and hard to find in today’s game.“Lukaku is still only 30 years old and a proven goalscorer, I think whoever gets him on a short loan deal will have done good and subtle business.”
So far this summer, United have signed Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund.
