According to reports, Manchester United has made a proposal of €50 million (£42 million) for Barcelona star Andreas Christensen.Rasmus Hojlund, a striker from Denmark, was acquired by United last weekend for £72 million from Atalanta. The 20-year-old, who signed with the Serie A team in 2022 and made 34 appearances while scoring 10 goals, made the move to Old Trafford on a five-year deal.After Mason Mount and Andre Onana, Hojlund is Erik ten Hag’s third summer acquisition. The club has since prioritized Sofyan Amrabat.However, United is apparently looking to bolster the defense as they wait on offers for Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly.

The 27-year-old has impressed at Barcelona since arriving from Chelsea last summer, having formed a stubborn centre-back partnership alongside Ronald Araujo.Indeed, Barcelona kept a record-equaling 26 clean sheets last term to claim their first La Liga title in four years.
