Kylian Mbappe makes big Man United transfer decision over potential Qatari takeover

Sir Jim Ratcliffe or Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani may soon become the next owners of Manchester United once the Glazers sell the team.Since 2005, the American family has been in command at Old Trafford. They took over through a heavily leveraged deal that put the club in debt.According to insiders, Sheikh Jassim’s most recent offer has sparked a “breakthrough,” and he may very possibly take over as the club’s next owner.

Recent reports said that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi played a “significant role” in negotiations between the Glazer family, Raine Group, and Sheikh Jassim‘s Nine Two Foundation. The Glazers were said to contact the Qatari owner to attempt to increase Sheikh Jassim’s offer for the club. However, Al-Khelaïfi revoked the rumours about the level of his involvement, labelling it as “a joke”, adding that he simply provided Sheikh Jassim with his opinion.

Nevertheless, the seemingly close relationship between the two Qatari’s have led to reports emerging in relation to superstar Kylian Mbappe.Information from El Pais on Tuesday afternoon said that the Qatari’s intention is to sell Mbappe to United this summer if Sjeikh Jassim is successful with his bid – it was added that they have been planning the deal since February and Mbappe found the idea ‘interesting’.

However, the reliable Romain Molina has explained that the Qatari’s have spoken to the France top goalscorer about joining The Reds, but that he is not interested in the move.

Mbappe has told the Ligue 1 Champions that he will not be extending his deal, which expires in the summer of next year, but has claimed he wants to remain at the club for another year. This would lead to PSG losing the superstar on a free transfer, which has led to the idea that they could attempt to move him on in the coming months to ensure they receive a large fee still.
