Man United are looking to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund and Monaco defender Axel Disasi “this summer” – a big boost to Erik ten Hag’s plans to refresh his squad ahead of the pre-season
Manchester United have reportedly been told that both striker Rasmus Hojlund and defender Axel Disasi are looking to sign for the club this summer.
Erik ten Hag is reshaping his side after finishing third in the Premier League, with the Red Devils now in the Dutchman’s second season of Old Trafford Champions League football.
While there was heavy speculation about the likes of Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Napoli’s Kim-min Jae, Man United received good news about two planned targets.
According to an article in The Mirror, Monaco’s Disasi and Atalantas Hojlund have reportedly expressed interest in joining ten Hag’s side this summer.
Hojlund, hailed for his work at the top as Denmark’s Erling Haaland, is on the shortlist of potential strikers for Man United, who only have two experienced strikers to their credit.

Monaco defender Axel Disasi has also announced that he wants to switch from France to the Premier League
After just a year at Serie A club Atalanta, it’s believed a £43m bid for Man United would be enough to secure a deal, with the player previously admitting he’s a “huge fan” of the club may be.
Hojlund also brokered a deal with agency SEG, which also represents ten Hag.
Monaco’s disasi has also alerted Man United to their desire to swap France for North West England. He played in the World Cup final when the team lost to Argentina in the final.
Having said that, Man United’s budget for a defender might be low given the high priority given to a striker and also the expected cost of the Mount to Old Trafford transfer.
The club are also ready to move ahead with the plan to bring Kim-min jae to Manchester when the clause in his Napoli contract comes into effect next month.
