Manchester United Breaking News: Transfer news LIVE Man Utd vs West Ham highlights and FA Cup draw opponents

All the very latest Man United news, views and transfer updates from the Manchester Evening News.

Manchester United booked an FA Cup quarter-final date with Fulham last night, recovering from a goal down to beat West Ham United 3-1 in the fifth round of the competition at Old Trafford.

Following Said Benrahma’s opener just nine minutes into the start of the second half, United looked on course to be exiting the competition until Hammers defender Nayef Aguerd, under pressure from Wout Weghorst, headed the ball into his own net to make it 1-1 with 13 minutes of normal time left on the clock. But with extra time looming, Alejandro Garnacho netted a brilliant effort in the final minute of normal time to turn the game on its head.

United then made sure of the victory once and for all deep into stoppage time when Fred fired home from inside the penalty area. Their reward for beating the Hammers is a quarter-final showdown with Fulham later this month, again in M16.

Victory over David Moyes’ side means that United are still in with a chance of completing a historic quadruple this season, though they are outsiders in the Premier League title race. Arsenal beat Everton 4-0 last night, meaning the Reds are now 11 points off the top of the table, though they do have a game in hand.

For United, though, attentions will now switch to Sunday’s huge clash with Liverpool at Anfield, where they will be looking to complete a famous league double over the Merseysiders.

Juventus ‘considering’ Sabitzer swoop

According to a report by Calciomeracto, Juventus are ‘considering’ a summer move for Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, who is currently on loan at United.

The Austrian joined United on loan from Bayern in January for the remainder of the season. Though nothing has yet been decided on his long-term future, it is claimed that Juventus are mulling over the prospect of moving for Sabitzer in the summer as a potential replacement for Adrien Rabiot, who is expected to leave the Italian giants when his contract expires at the end of the season.

In the event of United beating Fulham and reaching the semi-finals at Wembley, a home clash with Chelsea will also need rearranging.
