The agents of an in-form forward recently traveled to north London to hold transfer discussions with Arsenal officials, according to recent reports.
Arsenal’s Transfer Plans for 2025
The Premier League title contenders remain unbeaten across all competitions this season and are in strong contention to claim their first domestic league title in 21 years. Impressive performances, such as their Champions League victory over PSG and a comeback win against Southampton, have showcased Arsenal’s winning mentality. However, sporting director Edu Gaspar is still looking to strengthen key areas of the squad.
Recent reports indicate that Arsenal are eyeing Como midfielder Nico Paz, who has attracted attention since his summer move from Real Madrid to Serie A. Additionally, the Gunners are reportedly in the market for a new striker as early as January if the right opportunity arises. Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush is one target, and former chief scout Mick Brown has noted that Arsenal may look to bring in a number nine mid-season despite Kai Havertz’s impressive form.
“You have to credit Mikel Arteta because he’s brought this out of Havertz,” Brown told *Football Insider*. “But I’ve heard that if the right option becomes available, Arsenal still want to bring someone in for that position. The challenge is finding someone who is good enough for the Premier League and available. Arsenal won’t want to waste money on a player they don’t need, but they are looking for areas to improve, even with Havertz playing well.”
After failing to secure RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko in a previous transfer window, Arsenal reportedly remain interested in the 21-year-old. According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal had a bid for Sesko rejected last year, alongside offers from Chelsea and Manchester United.
Recent reports from *TEAMtalk* suggest that Sesko’s agents have been to the Emirates Stadium in recent months for discussions with Arsenal officials. The club has reportedly assured Sesko’s representatives that he would be guaranteed regular playing time if he joined, which has given Arsenal an edge over competitors like Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
It is also claimed that Sesko has a “gentleman’s agreement” with Leipzig, allowing him to leave either next summer or in 2026. This agreement could make it easier for Arsenal to secure the £63 million-rated forward in the near future.
