“Sometimes I dream of where I am playing with the two of them. I really hope he comes to Manchester United. Even Bernado silver has been dragging him with me for him to join Man City but I hope manchester united acts fast because he is a world class midfielder”- Bruno Fernandes praises “electric” Portugal teammate who would be perfect at Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes has praised his Portuguese international teammate Francisco Conceição, highlighting that he would be an ideal addition to Manchester United.

After displaying impressive form for Manchester United towards the end of last season, Fernandes began his preparations for the 2024 European Championship by scoring twice in a match against Finland on Tuesday evening.

Fernandes, who entered the game in the second half alongside club teammate Diogo Dalot, scored a stunning long-range goal to give Portugal a 3-0 lead and later added a composed finish for the team’s fourth goal.

Following the match, the United captain took a moment to commend 21-year-old right winger Francisco Conceição, who assisted both of his goals.

“Francisco had a very good game; he is an electric player, and without the ball, he works a lot,” Fernandes told Mais Futebol. “In reacting to loss, he is very quick and is very well positioned. You can see that he was trained by his father, who cares a lot about these details. We want players who can provide different qualities so we can be complete as a group.”

Fernandes’ reference to Conceição’s father is notable because his dad, Sérgio Conceição, is the current manager of FC Porto, where Francisco has been outstanding this season, making 43 appearances and tallying eight goals and eight assists.

Valued at just under £13 million by Transfermarkt, Conceição could be a perfect signing for United. With potential sales of Antony and Facundo Pellistri this summer, the club will need a right winger to compete with Amad Diallo. Conceição, being left-footed like Amad, excels at providing assists and scoring goals, complementing players such as Rasmus Højlund and Fernandes, who operate centrally.
