Amad Diallo has emerged as a headline-maker following his decisive goal, propelling Manchester United to a 4-3 victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup.
In a dramatic match where both Manchester United and Liverpool exchanged blows, it was Amad Diallo who seized the moment in the 120+2nd minute, securing Erik ten Hag’s side a place in the Wembley spotlight.
Amad’s journey at United has largely seen him excel away from the club, notably during a successful loan spell at Sunderland last season. Initially slated for another loan move last summer, an injury during pre-season delayed his departure, resulting in limited appearances upon his return at the end of December. Despite offers for a January loan, Amad expressed his desire to remain at the club, and his determination was rewarded with a standout performance and a spectacular winning goal at Old Trafford.
Reflecting on his memorable goal, Amad expressed his delight, stating, “It’s a dream come true. That goal will give me a lot of confidence, and I want to continue like this. I’m very happy. The most important thing is to win this game.” Additionally, he revealed that he initially intended to pass the ball back to Garnacho but opted to take the shot himself due to the presence of a defender.
Expressing gratitude to the supporters, Amad hailed the match as one of the best of the season, expressing his desire to maintain the momentum moving forward.
