Arsenal are preparing a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming summer transfer window, sources reveal to *Football Insider*.
In the latest *Inside Track* podcast, Arsenal expert Connor Humm confirmed that Vlahovic has become the Gunners’ top target to bolster their attack, especially as they look for a “Harry Kane-type” striker who can guarantee goals and take the lead in Mikel Arteta’s lineup. While Kai Havertz has shown solid form with four goals and an assist in eight Premier League games, Arsenal are keen on a true out-and-out striker.
Former Man United scout Mick Brown previously noted that Arsenal are actively looking to add a powerful center-forward to strengthen their squad. Vlahovic, who declined a move to Arsenal in 2021, is still high on their list, and there is renewed optimism that he could now be open to joining.
The Serbian striker will have 18 months left on his contract with Juventus by January, raising the possibility of a more affordable deal in the 2025 summer window.
Since joining Juventus in 2022, Vlahovic has scored 48 goals and contributed ten assists in 112 appearances. This season alone, he has already scored seven goals in 11 games, continuing to attract interest from top clubs across Europe.
Arsenal’s recent second-place finishes behind Manchester City have led to close evaluations of where they can improve the squad to finally clinch the title, with a reliable goal-scoring striker seen as a critical addition. There are also growing concerns over Gabriel Jesus’ goal-scoring form, as he has not scored in his last 18 league appearances and has yet to score in ten appearances across all competitions this season, adding to the pressure on Havertz for goals.
