Luke Shaw has singled out one Manchester United wonderkid for fans to watch out for.

Over the years, United have produced some of the best players in football history, including David Beckham, Gary Neville, Marcus Rashford, Paul Scholes, and Bobby Charlton, all products of United’s academy.

In a recent interview with GOAL, current United and England full-back Shaw highlighted a young talent that fans should keep an eye on. When asked, “One young player people should watch out for?” Shaw responded, “He’s a young left-back from Man Utd, Harry Amass.”

Last August, Amass left Watford’s academy to join Manchester United’s youth ranks and has made a significant impact since his move. For the U18 side, Amass has scored once and provided four assists in 22 matches. In April, he was named on the bench for United’s Premier League clash against Liverpool, which ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

Shaw is currently on international duty, having been selected to represent England at Euro 2024. Despite struggling with an injury that has kept him out of action for United since February, Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate decided to take a chance on him. Ahead of the tournament, Southgate commented, “If we don’t win, I probably won’t be here anymore. So maybe it is the last chance. I think around half the national coaches leave after a tournament – that’s the nature of international football. I’ve been here almost eight years now and we’ve come close.”
