“GOOD NEWS FOR MANCHESTER UNITED as they are about to get the best defender in the Premier League currently. According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton is negotiating a transfer deal with Manchester United that would involve exchanging Jarrad Branthwaite for Victor Lindelof and a cash payment. Everton values Lindelof as a key asset to bolster their defense and is willing to part with Branthwaite to secure the deal. This potential swap could mutually benefit both clubs, but it remains to be seen if Manchester United will agree to the terms.”

Everton is considering Victor Lindelof as a potential replacement for Jarrad Branthwaite. It was recently revealed that Manchester United had agreed on personal terms with Branthwaite, the 21-year-old Everton center-back, for a summer transfer. United initially offered £45 million for the England international, but Everton is expected to reject the bid.

Despite Everton’s demand for a hefty £80 million fee, reports suggest Manchester United remains optimistic that the transfer will be finalized by the end of the month. Everton has been exploring replacement options, including Northern Ireland’s Dan Ballard. However, the latest reports suggest their primary defensive target could facilitate United’s acquisition of Branthwaite.

According to HITC, Everton has identified possible replacements for Branthwaite, who is nearing a move to Manchester United. Victor Lindelof, previously targeted by Everton, is one such option. Manchester United is willing to let the Swedish defender leave Old Trafford this summer. Lindelof has had a mixed season at United, and with the club close to acquiring Branthwaite, he might see this as the right time to depart.

Additionally, HITC mentions that Everton is also interested in Jacob Greaves from Hull City. The 24-year-old defender is among several candidates Everton is considering to bolster their defense.
