Although Mourinho did not specify names, several players from his final season at Old Trafford are still part of Erik ten Hag’s squad, including Victor Lindelof, Anthony Martial, Scott McTominay, Diogo Dalot, and Marcus Rashford.

Mourinho enjoyed success at United, winning the Europa League and the EFL Cup in the 2016-17 season. However, since his departure, United have struggled to recapture their former glory, and Ten Hag’s team has had a difficult 2023-24 campaign.
