Altay Bayindir currently undergoing medical ahead of potential move to Manchester United

Manchester United are currently conducting medical tests on Altay Bayindir ahead of a potential move to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.

According to The Athletic, Man United have been pursuing the Fenerbahce goalkeeper for a while now, but want some clarification on the 25-year-old’s back problems. United boss Erik ten Hag is eager to sign a top-class back-up for Andre Onana before the transfer window closes, and Bayindir may well be the man for the job.

The Turkey international is very highly regarded in his homeland and would be a superb number two for the Red Devils. However, the Fenerbahce ace’s proposed move to Manchester is far from a foregone conclusion.

Altay Bayindir medical will determine his potential move to Manchester UnitedIf United are satisfied with the outcome of the medical tests, they will be able to sign Bayindir for just over £4m.Standing at 6ft 6in tall, the Turkey international is a very good shot-stopper and commanding in the air.Bayindir has conceded 162 goals and kept 44 clean sheets in 145 appearances for Fenerbahce.

The 25-year-old would not be good enough to be the number one goalkeeper at Old Trafford, but he’s more than adequate to serve as United’s back-up option.
