The Moroccan midfielder appears to have been waiting to reunite with his former FC Utrecht boss Erik ten Hag all summer, having turned down approaches from West Ham and Saudi Arabia in the process. Multiple reports have even gone as far as claiming that he has already agreed to personal terms with the Red Devils.
Fiorentina’s hierarchy, who themselves are looking to reinforce Vincenzo Italiano’s squad, are ‘waiting to understand’ if United’s long-awaited offer will arrive for Amrabat. A report in La Nazione suggests the next few days could be decisive in the saga, as the Premier League giants are ready to move in for the 26-year-old following the sale of Fred to Fenerbahçe. They’ve asked for a few more days as they focus on raising more funds through sales ‘but the deal will go through’ eventually.Fiorentina’s stance regarding the transfer fee for their prized asset has been the same all summer: his exit won’t be sanctioned for less than €25m (£21.3m).
