Erik Ten Hag urges the board to make a fast move as the club is “willing’ to sell Manchester United ‘Top transfer target’.

Manchester United are targeting a new striker in the summer transfer window, with Erik ten Hag keen to add to his ranks at the end of the current season.

Inter Milan are reportedly willing to sell Manchester United ‘target’ Lautaro Martinez in the summer transfer window as the Italian club look to raise much-needed funds.

According to Football Insider, United have identified the 25-year-old as a potential summer signing, should they fail to sign Tottenham and England ace Harry Kane. It adds that the Argentina international will be available for around £70million at the end of the season, with several clubs keen on the forward.

Martinez is said to be viewed as a ‘perfect’ alternative to Kane, with the report claiming that the Inter star would be suited to Erik ten Hag’s system. The likes of Real Madrid and Arsenal could also be interested in the former Racing Club man in the summer, who has scored 21 times in 47 appearances this season.

MEN Sport understands Kane is Ten Hag’s prime striker target to reinforce the United attack in the summer. It is believed the Dutchman is intent on signing the 29-year-old as he approaches the final year of his contract. Meanwhile, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen remains of interest to the Reds.

Elsewhere, AS (via Metro) have reported that Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga has held talks with both United and Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has impressed for the La Liga outfit this season, making 34 appearances in all competitions, while registering nine goals and four assists. It is thought that Veiga has a release clause of £40m in his contract, which has attracted interest from a number of clubs in Europe.

It adds that the player is open to leaving his homeland at the end of the season, with his representatives having reportedly held talks with both the Reds and Liverpool. MEN Sport have reported that Ten Hag wants to sign a young midfielder amid ongoing interest in Frenkie de Jong and Jude Bellingham.
