BREAKING NEWS “Since leaving Arsenal, he has scored 42 goals in just 59 matches. We regret parting with him so hastily, as he has now outperformed even our Bukayo Saka.”

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has expressed his frustration over the decision to allow Alexandre Lacazette to leave the club for free, particularly in light of the striker’s impressive form since his departure. Lacazette, now playing for Lyon, has netted 42 goals in 59 appearances, outperforming Arsenal’s current star, Bukayo Saka.

This exceptional record has led Kroenke to believe that the club mishandled Lacazette’s exit, especially given his goal-scoring ability over the past two seasons.

Lacazette left Arsenal in June 2022 after five years with the club, during which he scored 71 goals and contributed 36 assists in 206 appearances. While he started strongly in his early years at Arsenal, his form dipped in later seasons, and his departure did not raise significant concerns at the time. However, after returning to Lyon, the 32-year-old has revived his career, scoring 31 goals in the 2022/23 season and continuing to perform at a high level this year.
