Recent discussions about Brazilian international Ederson come in the wake of his standout performance during Manchester City’s 3-2 Premier League win over Fulham. Ederson’s heroics helped secure the victory, keeping key threats like Adama Traoré at bay.

Jeremy Doku’s late goal sealed the result, despite Rodrigo Muniz’s consolation strike. In his post-match press conference, Pep Guardiola was asked about City’s unusually high number of goals conceded and the danger posed by players like Adama Traoré.
Guardiola praised Traoré’s physicality and speed, recalling the player’s development from Barcelona’s academy to clubs like Wolves and Middlesbrough. He noted how Traoré even outpaced Kyle Walker, one of City’s fastest players, and called him “unstoppable” in open space. Guardiola also credited Fulham manager Marco Silva for getting the best out of Traoré.
On Ederson, Guardiola reiterated his importance to Manchester City’s success, emphasizing how crucial he has been during their eight years together. He also praised the healthy competition between Ederson and backup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega Moreno, noting how Ortega’s exceptional abilities push Ederson to perform at his best.
