A highly-rated product of Manchester United’s academy system is tipped to earn first-team minutes in the coming months after his latest pre-season performance.
Erik ten Hag’s side recorded a 3-2 victory over Real Betis on Wednesday night, with goals from Marcus Rashford, Amad Diallo, and Casemiro securing their first win of their US pre-season tour.
Just days after expressing his desire to stay at Old Trafford for the rest of his career, winger Amad stole the show in San Diego, with many backing the Ivorian to start in their Premier League opener against Fulham.
Several players looked sharp at the Snapdragon Stadium, including teenage full-back Harry Amass. The 17-year-old, who was included in United’s first-team squad for their clash against Liverpool in April, inevitably draws comparisons to Luke Shaw based on his style of play. On Wednesday, he delivered an assured display against Betis, showcasing his ability in forward areas.
