Manchester United’s young talents, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, have selected the one player they’d want to be stranded with on a desert island.
Despite the challenges faced this season under Erik ten Hag’s leadership, Mainoo and Garnacho have emerged as bright spots for the team. As United prepares for an FA Cup final against Manchester City, there’s still hope for European qualification either through winning the competition or league position.
When asked about their choice, Mainoo initially hesitated before both he and Garnacho settled on Lisandro Martinez, citing his resilience and shared language as crucial factors.
Martinez’s absence due to injury has been felt by United this season, though he’s now back in training, aiming to be fit for the upcoming final. Ten Hag emphasized the need to handle Martinez’s return carefully, despite the player’s eagerness to get back on the field.
