We need players that loves this club”-BREAKING NEWS: Ruben Amorim reveals why Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho are NOT in Man United squad for the Derby as and Not even on the bench after what they did recently.

Manchester United will face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon, marking Ruben Amorim’s first Manchester derby as manager. However, the Red Devils will be without Marcus Rashford, who has been excluded from the matchday squad.

Rashford, who has played in all 15 of United’s Premier League matches this season—starting 12—was also in the starting lineup for Thursday’s Europa League victory over Viktoria Plzen. He was substituted in the 56th minute for Rasmus Højlund, who went on to score in United’s comeback win in Czechia.

The 27-year-old winger has contributed seven goals and three assists in 24 appearances across all competitions this season. However, he has not found the back of the net in his last two league games, both of which ended in defeat for United against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.

Amorim has also left Alejandro Garnacho out of the 18-man squad. The Argentine winger, who played nine minutes as a substitute against Viktoria Plzen, has been a consistent presence in United’s league campaign so far. Garnacho has tallied eight goals and four assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Rasmus Højlund, who impressed with a brace off the bench in midweek, is one of four changes to the starting XI for Sunday’s derby.
