BREAKING NEWS:‼️Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski has revealed why he’s always scoring against Manchester city- I hated them, I will always take their match personal after they have done this in premier League football 😱Kulusevski Reveals what Manchester city has been doing under Pep Guardiola 😱😱

Dejan Kulusevski was named Man of the Match as Tottenham overcame Manchester City 2-1 on Wednesday night, securing a spot in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

Kulusevski seems to relish facing City, admitting he takes it “personally” when competing against Pep Guardiola’s team. The 24-year-old Swede, now flourishing as a central playmaker under Ange Postecoglou, provided two assists in Spurs’ spirited win. This brings his goal contributions against City to three goals and four assists—the most he’s achieved against any team since Guardiola took charge. “I knew I had to do something important because it’s an amazing game to play,” he said. “I take it personally to play against City. I promised myself I’d have a good game, and I think I did.”

Kulusevski insists his exceptional performance wasn’t fueled by disappointment from last weekend’s loss to Crystal Palace but rather his passion for competing with top teams. “It wasn’t about Palace—it’s just because it’s City,” he explained. “I love playing against the best; it’s extra motivation. It’s personal, and everyone close to me knows that. I knew I’d shine because I prepared for this game for a long time. There’s no fear playing City; it’s the opposite.”

With Aston Villa up next, Kulusevski is eager to keep the momentum but acknowledged Tottenham’s defensive lapses, especially allowing Matheus Nunes to score just before halftime. “I’m very angry that we conceded in the last second of the half. Going in at 2-0 would’ve changed everything. But we handled it well in the second half, creating many chances, and stayed strong till the end,” he said. Now, Kulusevski urges his teammates to find consistency: “We don’t want to be up and down. If you want to be a champion, you have to show up every game. We need to improve away from home, especially against physical teams.”

Confident about ending Tottenham’s 16-year wait for silverware, he added, “We want to win every trophy, and this is a great opportunity to win a cup. It’ll be fun to face a legendary team like United in the next round.”
