Paul Scholes has singled out a Manchester United player for repeatedly making the same error.

On Thursday night, United traveled to Istanbul seeking their first Europa League win of the season in a matchup against Fenerbahce at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

Despite dominating the first half, Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce found themselves trailing after Christian Eriksen’s precise strike in the 15th minute. However, in the second half, Youssef En-Nesyri’s header in the 49th minute leveled the score.

The match concluded in a 1-1 draw, leaving United in 21st place in the Europa League standings.

After the game, club legend Scholes criticized defender Diogo Dalot for a recurring mistake. He commented on *TNT Sports*, saying, “I think Dalot’s guilty of that quite a bit. You know exactly what Saint-Maximin is going to do in that situation. He [Dalot] needs to show more urgency, close him down because he’s a real threat.”

Scholes continued, “It’s a quality cross, and he’s not going to miss from there, but Dalot doesn’t react quickly enough. He’s had a decent season overall, but he needs to address this part of his game to prevent these chances.”

Reflecting on United’s performance, Scholes noted, “Considering the circumstances, it’s not a bad result. Porto away and Fenerbahce away are tough, but that home game against Twente—those are matches you need to win.”

United return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they face West Ham United at the London Stadium.
