Former West Ham And Chelsea Managerial Candidate Strongly Tipped For City Job ‘If Guardiola Leaves’BREAKING- Manchester city city is willing to bring this best Portuguese manager to city as Pep Guardiola plans to leave next season, He’s Pep Guardiola mentor and role model 😱😱

A Portuguese tabloid reports that 39-year-old Rúben Amorim’s chances of becoming Manchester City’s next manager have significantly increased, thanks to the expected appointment of Hugo Viana as Director of Football. Viana is set to replace Txiki Begiristain at the end of the season and is a strong supporter of bringing in Amorim if Pep Guardiola departs.

While Guardiola’s contract is up in June, his future is not necessarily tied to Begiristain, but there is a possibility the two Spaniards could leave the club together.

Amorim has previously been linked to other Premier League clubs. Last summer, he interviewed for the West Ham job but later regretted traveling for the meeting, opting to sign a new contract with Sporting, which keeps him at the club until 2026. He was also linked to Chelsea before the appointments of Mauricio Pochettino and Enzo Maresca.

Amorim’s credentials are strong, particularly in Portugal, where he has led Sporting to two league titles in the past four years, breaking the traditional dominance of Porto and Benfica. However, questions remain about whether he is ready for the Premier League, as all three of his managerial roles have been with Portuguese clubs.

Though Amorim is a highly talented coach, City would likely consider other candidates if Guardiola decides to step down.
