Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland’s leaked texts cause uproar as part of new scandal-BREAKING NEWS- A plot message between Ødegaard and Haaland was finally revealed online 😱😱

Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland have become entangled in a scandal affecting the Norway national team following the publication of private messages in a newly released book. Despite having stars like Arsenal captain Odegaard and Manchester City striker Haaland in their ranks, Norway has not qualified for a major tournament since 2000. The book, *The Battle of the National Team*, alleges that the team exploited an “ethically questionable loophole” in their pursuit of Nations League success during the coronavirus pandemic.

A chapter titled “The Doctor’s Lie” claims that in November 2020, after Galatasaray defender Omar Elabdellaoui tested positive for Covid-19, the team attempted to circumvent Norwegian health regulations. The team’s doctor, Asle B. Kjellsen, allegedly allowed 19 Norwegian players, including Odegaard, to travel separately from abroad rather than flying together from Oslo, exploiting a legal gap that exempted foreign athletes from certain restrictions. Odegaard reportedly flew from Madrid, while Haaland traveled from Germany.

Leaked group chat messages between Odegaard and Haaland, published in the book and by Norwegian outlet NRK, reveal Haaland sharing a screenshot of a news story questioning whether the team would be able to travel. Odegaard responded with a message featuring seven Santa Claus emojis, seemingly mocking the situation.

However, the preparations did not lead to success, as Norway lost 3-0 to Romania and later drew with Austria. In response to the claims, Kjellsen told NRK: “Some may view me as a cynical doctor without morals after reading the book, but I was loyal to my patients, the national team players.”

The incident sparked controversy and frustration within the squad, particularly over the leaking of private messages. Genoa midfielder Morten Thorsby commented, “We don’t want things like this to leak out. I understand the public interest, but private messages between the group should remain private.”

Meanwhile, Odegaard is currently sidelined from the Norway squad as he recovers from an ankle injury sustained in the last international break. Updating fans in Arsenal’s programme ahead of their recent win over Southampton, Odegaard shared positive news about his recovery. “I’ve made really good progress recently. Every day, I feel better and better. Hopefully, I’ll be back soon. We’re waiting to see how my ankle responds when I return to the training pitch, but so far, it’s looking better than expected.”
