Kevin De Bruyne’s contract with Manchester City is set to expire next summer, and he could leave for a team in the Middle East on a free transfer. While some fans on X believe he will sign a new deal that would deter potential suitors, others are concerned about the prospect of him leaving without a transfer fee.
De Bruyne has hinted at the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia. Earlier this year, the 33-year-old acknowledged being tempted by the lucrative offers from Saudi clubs:
“At my age, you have to be open to everything. The money on offer is incredible, and this could be the last phase of my career. Sometimes you have to consider that. If I play there for two years, I could make more money than I’ve earned over my entire 15-year career so far.”
Despite some reports suggesting he might extend his stay at City, the most reliable sources indicate that no contract talks are currently underway. This makes a departure at the end of the season the most likely outcome, which would see City miss out on a potential transfer fee.
