Man City decide on their top target to replace injured star Rodri and it’s a name that has come out of nowhere. Pep Guardiola means business this season as he’s now aiming for the fifth Epl Title after identifying this Torino best midfielder

Manchester City have identified their primary target to replace Rodri, who will miss the rest of the season due to injury.

Rodri suffered a knee injury during the recent 2-2 draw with Arsenal and underwent surgery on Friday, a significant setback for Pep Guardiola.

According to The Guardian, City are considering a move for Samuele Ricci during the January transfer window. The 23-year-old midfielder has been key to Torino’s success this season and is regarded as one of the top young deep-lying playmakers.

With four appearances for Italy, Ricci is seen as a potential long-term replacement for Rodri. City’s decision to accelerate their transfer plans could hinge on the Spaniard’s injury, with Ricci valued at around £30 million.

Rodri, who has been with City since the 2019/20 season, has played a crucial role in the team’s achievements. Guardiola confirmed the seriousness of the injury, stating, “He had surgery this morning for an ACL and meniscus issue. This season is over for him.
