Mikel Arteta has addressed Pep Guardiola’s recent comments following a heated press conference from the Manchester City manager about Arsenal.

In response to these remarks during his pre-Leicester press conference, Arteta stated, “No comment. I have been there before. I was there for four years—I have all the information. So I know. Believe me.”

Guardiola, not satisfied with Arteta’s response, said in his press conference ahead of City’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle, “Next time, Mikel should be clear about what he means when he says he’s been here four years and knows what happens here. It might relate to ongoing processes or charges. I have a good relationship with him, and I hope he clarifies his comments.”

After Arsenal’s 4-2 victory over Leicester, Arteta reiterated, “When I say I know about Man City, I mean I understand how hard they work. I can be very clear—I love Pep, admire him, and respect him for everything he has done for me. I consider him a friend.”
