“Fans couldn’t believe what Kobbie Mainoo and Manchester United Top Target Joshua Zirkzee did after watching a video of them. This shows that Kobbie will be a legend one day”-What was the meaning of that?”-Man Utd fans spot Kobbie Mainoo’s interaction with Joshua Zirkzee at full-time of England win over Netherlands

Manchester United fans couldn’t contain their excitement after witnessing Kobbie Mainoo’s interaction with potential new teammate Joshua Zirkzee.

Mainoo delivered an impressive performance as England defeated the Netherlands to reach the Euro 2024 final. Ollie Watkins scored a dramatic 90th-minute winner, latching onto a superb pass from fellow substitute Cole Palmer and providing a stunning turn and finish. Earlier, Harry Kane had equalized Xavi Simons’ opener with a controversial penalty. Mainoo was one of England’s standout performers in Dortmund, linking up excellently with Phil Foden.

If Mainoo’s commanding display in midfield wasn’t enough to excite United fans, his post-match actions certainly were. Mainoo shared a moment with Netherlands striker Zirkzee, who came off the bench very late after England’s winner.

Zirkzee, currently playing for Bologna in Serie A, is believed to have agreed personal terms with United ahead of a proposed £34 million move. He could become Erik ten Hag’s first signing of the summer, and fans are convinced that Mainoo’s interaction is a sign that Zirkzee is headed to Old Trafford.

Fans spotted Mainoo smirking at the 23-year-old before shaking hands and embracing him. One fan wrote, “NAHHHH THE SMIRK FROM KOBBIE.” Another said, “Kobbie Mainoo meets Joshua Zirkzee.” A third added, “Making it obvious. What connection do they have?” A fourth commented, “Agent Mainoo KNOWS!” A final person posted, “Future teammates.”

Zirkzee has attracted interest from numerous European clubs after a stellar 12-goal season for Bologna. He was previously a bit-part player at Bayern Munich before joining Bologna on a permanent deal following loan spells at Parma and Anderlecht. Initially not included in the Netherlands squad by Ronald Koeman, he eventually got the nod due to injury problems and made his senior debut in the quarter-final win over Turkey.
