Pep Guardiola has praised Bruno Fernandes as one of the best creative midfielders he has ever seen, along with three other standout Manchester United players.
Manchester United and Manchester City will face off in the FA Cup final for the second consecutive year. City, the newly crowned Premier League champions, are aiming for their fourth title in a row.
This season has been challenging for United, who have underperformed in all competitions, making the FA Cup their last opportunity for a trophy and European qualification.
Last season, City won the final with İlkay Gündoğan scoring twice, overshadowing Bruno Fernandes’ first-half penalty. Many attributed United’s defeat to David de Gea’s poor goalkeeping.
Fernandes has scored three times and provided two assists in 11 appearances against Manchester City. He is expected to start as United’s No. 10 on Saturday, and Pep Guardiola has expressed his admiration for the Portuguese international’s creativity.
Guardiola also highlighted Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and Rasmus Højlund as key players his team must be wary of.
“They have the runners and the actions from brilliant players up front,” Guardiola said. “Garnacho, Rashford, Højlund, and of course, Bruno Fernandes. When he has the ball, everything happens.
“The influence of Bruno on that team is outstanding, unbelievable. I watched their recent games, and I thought, ‘This guy… His creativity is one of the best I’ve ever seen’. They also have experience.”
