Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has suggested that Manchester United should consider appointing Roberto De Zerbi as Erik ten Hag’s successor.
Amidst a string of disappointing results, Ten Hag finds himself under significant pressure at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, De Zerbi has notably revitalized Brighton since assuming the managerial role in 2022.
Collymore expressed his belief to GIVEMESPORT that De Zerbi possesses the qualities necessary to lead the Red Devils, considering him a world-class coach and an ideal fit for the managerial position.
“The club requires a specific type of manager, and although there are several viable candidates, one stands out for me. Roberto De Zerbi from Brighton and Hove Albion to Manchester United? Absolutely! Despite Brighton’s recent results not meeting expectations, De Zerbi’s credentials speak for themselves,” remarked Collymore.
“He not only boasts exceptional coaching abilities but also possesses the personality and man-management skills suited for the role.”
