Manchester United are angry at the fact that the figure Borussia Dortmund were paying for Jadon Sancho has been leaked to the public, according to reports.Multiple reports in recent days have confirmed that Borussia Dortmund will pay Manchester United around £3 million for a six-month loan for Jadon Sancho.Sancho has not played for United since August after the player had a public disagreement with Erik ten Hag due to being dropped from the squad to face Arsenal.
He is now set to leave Old Trafford for six months, with the club wanting him away from the current set-up in order to see game time elsewhere before a possible sale in the summer.
According to German media, United are angry that the money Dortmund are paying for Sancho’s loan deal has been made public, as they now “look a bit like losers.Speaking to Sky Sports Germany, German transfer expert Patrick Berger explained the latest on the situation.
This sum has been put through (to the public),” Berger explained. “United don’t really like that because they look a bit like losers now.”He continued: “There are a lot of things going on in the background that don’t necessarily revolve around hard facts and figures, but also about how you can get out of this thing while saving face.”
Berger also explained that Borussia Dortmund are under pressure to finalise the deal quickly, while United are much more relaxed about the situation.“It doesn’t matter to them (United) whether it takes another week or ten days,” emphasized Berger and concluded: “BVB needs help immediately. The game in Darmstadt is on January 13th. They would love to have him in their ranks.”
